This condition of dry socket can lead to pain in the tooth, or even foul odor coming from the mouth. It occurs mainly in the cases of infected teeth.
- There is risk of “paresthesia”, means that after administering of anesthesia, there are chances of nerve damage, if anything goes wrong in getting wisdom teeth pulled. This nerve damage can result if parts of the mouth or the chin to become insensitive or completely numb.
- Other teeth or part of the mouth can be damaged, like the crown, or the root of teeth.
- There is risk of “trismus”, where the patient cannot open his mouth his mouth properly. He faces difficulty in brushing, eating, and even talking.
- There is bleeding, which may continue even for a day after getting wisdom teeth pulled.
